After seeing his Father Goku defeated by his Uncle Raditz, a young Gohan becomes enraged and powers up to a level that was deamed unknown at the time. Uncle Raditz seeing this first hand made him more interested in his nephew, hoping to use that power to help him, Vegeta, and Nappa take over the universe.
