Ryu vs Scorpion (Full Fight) by Proxicide
Back in the days before YouTube, Newgrounds (a video streaming website) reigned supreme for short clips, games, and fan-animations. One of those videos that became viral around that time was none other than Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter II.
Created by animator Proxicide, by using video game sprites from gaming software called Mugen, a short animated clip was made that pitted both Ryu and Scorpion against each other. Both are two very popular video game characters from the late 90’s.
What makes this video so amazing in 2021 is that fans from both franchises, to this day want to see an official Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter video game. After all the successful games that came out such as Marvel vs Capcom, Capcom vs SNK, and more, hope will stay alive for that mega crossover to come into fruition.
